February 2008 Wine Picks:
This month's wine picks are brought to us by Brian Lamb, Owner of Ourglass Wine Co. A boutique wine and cheese shop on the North Shore of Boston (www.ourglasswineco.com). Brian has been in the wine industry for over ten years and has some great suggestions for February. Here are some of my suggestions for one of my favorite wine producing regions in the US, the Pacific Northwest.

Joe Dobbes, Wine By Joe, Pinot Noir, Willamette Valley 2006 - $17.99

Not just a fun label and name, this wine is exceptional for the price. Joe Dobbes has been producing wine in Willamette for years and previously made wine in Burgundy and Germany. So 'Joe knows Pinot'. This is his second, more playful label, to his Dobbes Family Estate, which I highly recommend as well. Soft and velvety, with hints of blackberry, leather and juicy fruits with a nice finish. Pair this with Salmon.
